Case Summary
Jiang, a sales manager at a real estate brokerage in Region A of Xinjiang, used his position to privately sell underground parking spaces managed by the company to residents of a nearby community. Regional A authorities determined that Jiang had misappropriated a significant amount of funds. After the incident, Jiang fled from Region A and was designated as an online fugitive. While visiting a scenic area in Region B of Hangzhou, facial recognition technology flagged him as a fugitive, leading to his immediate arrest and detention at Region B's detention center. On the 14th day of Jiang's detention, authorities from Region A transferred him back to Xinjiang. Jiang's family retained our firm as defense counsel.
